True Launch Bar 3.0 or later

True Launch Bar is a superior replacement for the standard Quick Launch bar. All functions presented in Quick Launch are also in True Launch Bar. However, the True Launch Bar is fully compatible with Quick Launch because it uses the same folder for shortcuts. But there is one huge difference. True Launch Bar allows you to combine your shortcuts into groups. This feature looks like popup menus. This vastly improves the management of your shortcuts and save working space on your desktop. By using True Launch Bar, you speedup the launching of your applications like never before..

Before you can use the plugin you must download the program, install it, do all the settings and than Drug&Drop the TrueLaunchBar directory it to the plugin\files directory. Add your registration after 30days trial in the inf file in that entry:

Also if you want to add more plugins and other shortcuts in PE:

1. Copy the applications shortcuts or folders shortcuts from start menu to the Quick launch (B:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\ ) and setup the plugins.

2. Copy all that to your HD:\PEBuilder\plugin\tlb\files\Quick Launch\ directory for next time.

3. In order for these entries to work on any PC, change the CD letter to %SystemDrive% in the shortcuts. The other way is to use Paraglider GenShortcuts program once to generate shortcuts and then move them around (but do this in PE).

4. Arrange again all the shortcuts in PE and than copy all the Quick Launch folder to your PEBuilder\plugin\z-tlb\files\ directory.

5. Thanks to “The Truth” that found the way to start the plugin at startup:

To make TLB appears in your taskbar at startup:
- Start a WinPE session, and customize the taskbar the way you want it (add TLB, remove QuickLaunch, ...).
- Export the following reg key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop]

Do that after ending your session but at explorer's shutdown dialog press cancel, and then go export that key. (This will allow all the cache to be written to registry). Put it near the bottom of the z-tlb.inf file where the arrow is.

6. This plugin should be located under all the explorers / pnp plugins because XPE for example overrides the automatic startup. For this reason its name is Z-TLB.

7. Move unicows.dll to System32 folder under the files folder. It is used for automatic updates.

General information:

1. The current plugin already include around 100 shortcuts in different menus and 12 plugins and a Send To folder. Some of the plugins like the weather ones are just for decoration… You can use them, edit them, or just delete the Quick Launch dir under files directory and use your one.

2. I currently use Y: instead of B: for ramdrv and X: for CD drive. Edit them accordingly or use subst command.

3. There are 2 hidden files in each dir/subdir of shortcuts; TLBDATA.xml and SETUP.ini. These files are keeping the order of the icons on the bar and the icon info for the folders (if you change the folder icons). Therefore you must setup the bars in PE and than copy all the QL folder to plugin directory. In SETUP.ini change the CD drive letter to %SystemDrive%.

4. In order to make it faster and save space on the CD, I RAR my shortcuts and unrar them in PE. I included the RAR creation cmd file. It is called: tlb-rar.cmd . Just adjust the drives names and the dir names to your one.

5. You can also download plugins on line. (Than also add reg entries for them.)
